We are going to WDW 12/27/14- 1/2/15. Will any of the special holiday events (candlelight parade, Mickey's Christmas Parade, etc) still be going on? Also - anything fun going on in the parks for New Years Eve? Thanks!

    HI Angie!

Dates for the ever-popular holiday festivities for 2014 have not been announced yet, but we can take a look at last year's events to get an idea of what will be happening.

Decorating for Christmas usually starts at the beginning of November, and those decorations are taken down after New Years, so you'll be able to still enjoy the Christmas atmosphere all around.  The parade offerings are typically offered through the end of the month and even into January, so you should be ok there as well.

New Years Eve is a great time to be at Walt Disney World as well!  The parks will stay open late to help you ring in the the New Year.  The only exception to this is Disney's Animal Kingdom.  You can usually find special entertainment as well as added firework finales.  These offerings are free to park guests and do not require an extra ticket.

    Have a magical vacation!
