We will be at WDW for my son's trip with Make-A-Wish Tues. Dec 7 - Mon Dec. 13th. We are trying to "plan" our trip very little, but are thinking of buying MVMCP tickets and planning around GKTW events. If already at MK, do we have to leave and

    Hi Missy,

I just have to tell you that the WDW Moms Panel recently toured the Give Kids The World (GKTW) campus after we participated in a fundraiser to benefit GKTW. It is an INCREDIBLE place & you are in for a wonderful trip. They go above & beyond for families who so deserve an awesome trip to get away from everything & just have fun as a family. I feel truly blessed to have been a part of the fundraiser & look forward to doing it again next year & volunteer at GKTW during my future visits to Orlando.

The awesome staff at GKTW will take care of most everything for you so you will have to do very little "planning".  If you want to spend the day at the Magic Kingdom & attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) on the same day, you will need two different tickets - a regular ticket and a ticket to MVMCP for that evening.

MVMCP begins at 7:00 p.m. and lasts until midnight.  It requires a separate special event ticket to attend and only those Guests with the special event ticket are allowed to enter or remain in the park when the party begins.  Once party goers enter the park, they are given a special wrist band which indicates they have tickets to this event.  Cast Members will be stationed at the entrances to the different themed lands.  Guests who aren't wearing wrist bands for the event that evening will be asked to make their way down Main Street to exit the park.

If you are going to be in the MK during the day & staying for MVMCP that evening, I'd suggest doing all the attractions & rides during the day and then concentrating on the special events for MVMCP during the evening.

Please feel free to visit us again if you have other questions. It is a privilege to assist you. Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
