    We are going to be in WDW on my son's 22nd birthday. Where would be a special place to eat and celebrate. He likes steak and was wondering about the place in epcot center or in the dolphin hotel or in the contemporary hotel?Our daughter is 16.

    Hi Erika,

    There are several places to get a great steak at Walt Disney World.  If your son would enjoy a small, beautifully themed Canadian steak house, make reservations at Le Cellier in the Canada Pavilion of Epcot.  Without hesitation, this is my favorite steakhouse at Walt Disney World.  In addition to great steaks, I also adore their cheddar cheese soup and pretzel bread.  

    Shula's at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts is another upscale steakhouse.  It is not Disney-owned but it is located on Disney property.  If your son is an NFL fan, then the ambience at this restaurant might be especially appealing to him.

    Several of my friends on the Moms Panel have identified the Yachtsman Steakhouse as their favorite place to dine when in search of a celebratory meal.  Situated in Disney's Yacht Club Resort, it is a short walk from the International Gateway of Epcot.

    Finally, an unexpected place to find a great steak is the Grand Floridian Cafe at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort.  In addition to this being an absolutely beautiful, often overlooked restaurant near the Magic Kingdom, dining here only requires one table service credit on the Disney Dining Plan.  You can get a fabulous steak dinner here at a very reasonable price.  Whichever restaurant you choose, be sure to call (407) WDW-DINE to make reservations.  You may even want to call Disney's cake hotline at (407) 827-2253 to pre-order a birthday cake for your celebration.
