    Hello moms! I have been to WDW several times but have never been on a Disney or any other cruise before. I would be traveling with my mom, who is handicapped & uses an ECV to get around the parks. What are your suggestions for 1st time cruisers?

    How exciting that you are considering a Disney Cruise!  From the amazing live Broadway style shows, to the fabulous dining, your pirate crew will experience a vacation like no other. A Disney Cruise caters to all age groups and everyone in your group will have the chance to experience unforgettable luxury and fun. An absolute must for first time cruisers is to see the live shows onboard. These shows have singing, dancing, and storytelling as only Disney can do it. You will have the opportunity to meet with cherished Disney characters, take photos, and enjoy the whimsy of Disney while relaxing and enjoying the various excursions available. Also, I highly suggest that first time cruisers visit Palo to enjoy some of the finest cuisine on the ocean. Make sure you check your Personal Navigator once you board and you won’t miss a thing.

    Andrea, your pirate fairy mother will not be left out of the fun due to mobility issues. Disney Cruise Line allows Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) use and even has special Handicap Accessible Staterooms that feature wider doors, more space for maneuvering the ECV as well as ramps to enter bath areas. If you are interested in one of these rooms, please contact our friends at Disney Cruise Line by calling (800) 951-3532. The ships have ramps available throughout the decks and extra room in the common areas. Disney Cruise Line does not have rentals available, so you would need to find a company to rent an ECV or bring your own. Buena Vista Scooter Rentals is a company that many guests have used in the past.
