I am going to WDW in September and we are staying at the AKL Kidani Village. I was wondering since we have a villa with a savannah view, how often do you see animals? Can you see all of them all the time from your bacony?

Hi Maggie! Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort. Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village is by far the most exotic and culturally enriching vacation spots you'll come across at Walt Disney World Resort. It's our home resort and still my all time favorite place to stay. And there's nothing better than seeing the majestic beauty and splendor of the wild animals from your savanna view! You're going to be blown away by the experience.

Nearly three dozen species of animals call Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge home. With appearances from zebras, giraffes, ostriches, elks, gazelles, antelopes, kudus, wildebeest's and exotic birds you're in for a delightful and fascinating visual treat. Animals can be seen very early in the morning and roam throughout the day and well into the night.

There are actually 3 Savannas at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Arusha, Sunset and Uzima and each has its own unique look and feel offering a view of the free roaming animals from your balcony. The Arusha view is the direct "center of the horse shoe" of the savanna with direct view of the animals and the entire area. Arusha is also the only view where you will see zebras. Ostrich are unique to the Sunset savanna, and kudu are on the Uzima savanna. Giraffes are can be seen on all three savannas.

Remember, you're right next to Disney's Animal Kingdom Park - the largest animal theme park in the world so there are plenty of exciting attractions to take in like Kilimanjaro Safaris, Dinosaur, Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain and Kali River Rapids.

Be sure to head over to Jambo House for Boma Flavors of Africa - the African themed cuisine offers a tasty variety of exciting foods plus some classics so you can try new things, but have the comfort of the traditional offerings as well.

I hope your vacation is magical and memorable!

    ~Juliette
