Hi, Tammy! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
One of the best parts of dining at the Walt Disney World Resort is that there truly is something to appeal to everyone. I face the same challenge as you when vacationing with my family. My 12-year old son is a very picky eater. In fact, he passes up all of the delicious foods served at 'Ohana and makes a special request order for chicken tenders.
Guests who are over 9-years old are considered adults for purposes of the
Disney Dining Plan, but that doesn't mean that they need to be adventurous eaters. I think you will find that many quick-service locations around the Walt Disney World Resort serve foods such as chicken, burgers, hot dogs, and pizza that are appealing to pickier eaters, alongside dishes that may appeal to those with broader tastes.
When dining at a table-service restaurant, Cast Members are always more than willing to help everyone find something that they will enjoy. Often, my son orders an adult-size portion of whatever food is on the kids' menu of a particular restaurant. The Cast Members at Walt Disney World do an amazing job of making sure everyone's dietary needs are met. Whether you are a vegetarian, have food allergies, or are simply a picky eater, you are sure to enjoy your meals at the Walt Disney World Resort.
If you would like to plan ahead for which dining locations your daughter might enjoy most, you can preview menus for
restaurants and dining locations on the Walt Disney World website. Also, please keep in mind that reservations for table-service restaurants are strongly encouraged and can be made 180 days in advance.
Have a magical day!
Samantha
