What WDW resorts can house 11 people in their rooms? We have 6 adults and 5 children who will be going to WDW and we want to stay on site. Thank you!

    Hi Nancy,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. It sounds like a wonderful vacation that you are planning - six adults and five children! Traveling with large parties can be so much fun. One thing for you to bear in mind is that the first child under the age of three in any Walt Disney World resort does not count toward to total number of guests in the room. So if one of the children is an infant or toddler, you would considered a party of 10.

The traditional Walt Disney World resorts typically offer hotel rooms that can sleep four or five guests, as well as family suites that can sleep six guests. It would be a possibility for you to book two family suites and split your party into two parties of six. These suites are available at Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney's All-Star Music Resort. The cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground also sleep six guests each, so you could book two of those.

Another option is to explore the Disney Vacation Club resorts. Though much of the inventory in these is reserved for Disney Vacation Club members using their Vacation Points, there is some availability using traditional payment methods such as credit cards. Your party would fit nicely into a three-bedroom grand villa, which offers multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as a common living area, kitchen, and laundry right in the villa. These are available at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village and Jambo House, Disney's BoardWalk Villas, Disney's Old Key West Resort, and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.

To check on availability for any of the accommodations mentioned above, you can contact Disney at 407-W-DISNEY (407-934-7639). I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Nancy. Have a great time planning your vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
