When are the WDW resorts decorated for Christmas? We are attending the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and will be staying on property from November 11 -14. Was hoping to tour some of the resorts on the monorail to see the decorations.

    Hi Erica!

The holidays at Walt Disney World are so beautiful and magical!  It's my favorite time of year to visit.

Christmas decorations will begin going up in early November.  The Magic Kingdom is completed first, because it is host to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party starting the first week of that month.  The transformation of the Magic Kingdom from Halloween to Christmas takes place almost over night.  I once saw a time-lapse video of it, and it was amazing!

The resorts will most likely begin putting up decorations while you are there.  They won't be completed until right before Thanksgiving, but you will be able to see some during your trip.

That second week of November is when my family and I used to go every year.  It was always fun to walk into the resort lobby every morning to see what new decorations were added during the night.

Touring the monorail resorts is a great idea.  There should definitely be some Christmas magic taking place!

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if you have any other questions!
