Hiya Marisa,
Welcome back to planDisney! We so appreciate you trusting us to answer your planning questions about Walt Disney World Resort. It is an extra special time to visit Walt Disney World Resort because of the
50th Anniversary Celebration. There are so many hidden magical features and excitement in the air.
Speaking of hidden features, scavenger hunts are an incredible way to make your days at Walt Disney World Resort so much more fun! I did a little digging into the Magic Kingdom Attractions Scavenger Hunt you mentioned in your question. It is available for the 50th Anniversary Celebration only. When I spoke to a Cast Member, she could only confirm that the scavenger hunt was being offered at
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort,
Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. Unfortunately, it also doesn’t have a prize associated with it.
Each Walt Disney World Resort Hotel may have its own individual scavenger hunt; however, with the potential for prizes, I would highly suggest reaching out to the one you have a reservation for and seeing what will be available during your visit.
Depending on when you plan to visit, I would highly suggest trying Spike the Bee’s Pollen-Nation Exploration Scavenger Hunt at EPCOT. Available for the
International Flower and Garden Festival, the scavenger hunt takes all-around EPCOT searching for Spike in pursuit of a prize! It is a great way to explore one of my favorite festivals and spend time as a family. The International Flower and Garden Festival runs from now until July 4th, so there is plenty of time to get on the hunt.
If you want something more closely related to the 50th, why not create your own scavenger hunt. I’ve seen fellow panelists and Guests make a scavenger hunt out of searching for the
Disney Fab 50 Character Collection. While finding 50 statues may be a lot for one trip, you and your family can make a list of the five statues you each want to find, and whoever finds their five first wins! You could even pick up a complimentary Celebration button at Guest Relations for the winner.
I hope this was helpful, Marisa and that you enjoy your trip to Walt Disney World Resort!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
