Hi Bruce, welcome to planDisney!
When it comes to essential items for a Walt Disney World Resort vacation packing list, sunscreen, Minnie ears, and charging supplies are always at the top of my list (charging blocks, charging cords, portable chargers, etc). I understand the importance of your question and will share my experience and recommendations for staying fully charged during your vacation.
With over 25
Disney Resorts Collection hotels to choose from, each resort features its own unique brand of immersive storytelling and charging capabilities. When I stayed at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge last December, there were two USB ports on the nightstand between the two queen beds, four on the dresser, and giraffes out my window. When I stayed at Disney's Riviera Resort last July, there were six USB charging ports spaced out by the two queen beds in my room, more on the dresser, and a hidden Mickey in the wrought iron on my balcony.
I have Cast Member confirmation that Disney Resort hotel rooms in all resort types (value, moderate, and deluxe) have built-in USB ports, Bruce. I do recommend packing a charging block just in case, though, because every room is different and the layout may not suit your specific needs. During my October stay at a Treehouse Villa at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa, the USB ports were located on the dressers in the bedrooms and I used a charging block to charge my phone on the nightstand, instead. When my family of four stayed in a recently renovated room at Disney's BoardWalk Inn last month, I brought a multi-USB charging cube that could charge all of my family's
MagicBand+ at once.
Be sure to pack a portable charger for your park bag, too, Bruce. The My Disney Experience mobile app runs on pixie dust and battery power.
Plan magic; planDisney.
