We will be in WDW in 12/14 to 12/20 and have the resort reservations with the Deluxe DP. Would you please give me list of quick-service or sit-down restaurants that serves New England clam chowder? Also, please add your recommendations of the best? Thanks!

    Hi Joyce,

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel!

When I saw your question, two spots immediately came to mind: the quick service Columbia Harbour House at Magic Kingdom and the table service dinner buffet at Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club resort.

Columbia Harbour House is one of my family's favorite quick service restaurants and my husband is a big fan of the chowder there. We also like the selection of seafood and other salads and sandwiches, many which are a bit healthier than a lot of quick fare.

Clam chowder is just one of the array of traditional New England style clam bake dishes featured at Cape May Cafe, along with non-seafood items such as carved beef and pork.

I had to do a little research to come up with other ideas for you. The ESPN Club at the Boardwalk resort serves Patriot Clam Chowder, and there's a New England Style Clam Chowder on the menu of Todd English's bluezoon in the Dolphin resort. Other options: Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club resort; the Crew's Cup Lounge, also in the Yacht Club; Fulton's Crab House in the Marketplace area of Downtown Disney; and the food court at the Pop Century resort.

I obviously haven't tasted them all, so I can't say which I think is the best. That's always a matter of personal taste any way. But I hope I've given you enough information to help you decide where to satisfy your chowder craving while you are at the Walt Disney World resort.

Please don't hesitate to visit the Moms Panel again if you have any more questions. We are happy to share what we know and to do a little digging if we don't know all the answers.

    Enjoy your December vacation!
