    I have WDW reservations for October. This morning I purchased 2 magic band+ items for us for $45 each. I just read on a blog that pre-arrival bands are supposed to be discounted though, and there are many more designs to choose from. What did I do wrong?

    October is a spooktacular time to visit Walt Disney World Resort. Grim Grinning Ghosts come out to socialize during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Costumes for the young and young at heart are encouraged for this special ticket event.

    The magic of planDisney is that panelists are Guests just like you and our personal experience guides our responses. With that in mind, Jennifer, we share not only a name but also a similar MagicBand+ experience. When MagicBand+ was released on July 27, my sweet husband purchased two as a surprise on shopDisney, not realizing we were eligible for the pre-arrival discount. Guests with a Disney Resort Hotel reservation linked in My Disney Experience can get a pre-arrival MagicBand discount on the My MagicBands and Cards page of their My Disney Experience account. MagicBands will ship to your home if ordered more than 10 days in advance of arrival. MagicBands ordered 6-10 days before arrival are shipped to your resort. Pre-arrival MagicBands can be personalized and are automagically connected to your account.

    MagicBands are not eligible to be refunded, replaced, or exchanged. MagicBands purchased on shopDisney must be linked to an individual in My Disney Experience before use. Because I had already purchased the exact same MagicBand+ design my husband purchased for me with a pre-arrival discount connected to an upcoming ladies' trip, I will be linking the bonus MagicBand+ to my daughter in My Disney Experience. If you choose to purchase additional MagicBand+ designs with a pre-arrival discount, Jennifer, the MagicBand you purchased on shopDisney could be linked to another individual in My Disney Experience. It's also possible to link multiple MagicBand+ designs to your account, which gives you options when planning your park day outfits. There's no such thing as too much pixie dust!
