    At WDW, is Rafiki currently doing any meet & greets at any parks or the Lodge?

    Why hello there Kevin and welcome to planDisney! 

    When Rafiki first told Simba to "Look Harder" in The Lion King, we didn't know that it would end up applying to anyone in search of this currently rare Character Experience at Walt Disney World Resort almost three decades later! As someone who's spent a considerable amount of time hanging out with our furry friends at Disney destinations on land and at sea, I reached out to our Entertainment Cast Member friends for some additional insight on where you might be able to spot this mysterious mandrill:

    • If you're very fortunate, you might have a greater chance at two spots in EPCOT World Showcase where rare characters may pay a surprise visit: near World Showplace between the United Kingdom and Canada Pavilions behind the Canada Mill Stage, and in the walkway adjacent to the Regal Eagle Smokehouse at the American Adventure Pavilion. This was where I've been able to meet Rafiki and snap a photo on two separate occasions alongside a number of others - you might even say it was a veritable "Character-palooza" of famous faces in unexpected places!

    Some guests have even been lucky enough to be present for some chance sightings across the Disney Resort Hotels including Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, but like any appearances designed to surprise and delight guests these are never guaranteed and happen without prior notice! In the meantime, feel free to come back to planDisney for any more tips or tricks as you may your way down here to Orlando and I wish you the best of luck as you track down Rafiki on your upcoming Disney adventures!
