The WDW races are filling up so fast. Some races have filled in less than a day. How hard is it to get into a race through a charity? Would a runner still need to have a race time for corral placement or would they be placed in the last corral? Thanks!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Mary Jane!

Running for charity is an excellent way of being able to participate in a runDisney event when your desired race has sold-out. In addition, you're making a difference in the community by committing to raise funds for the charity you have chosen to represent.

When it comes to corral placement, you are still able to submit a proof of time when completing your registration form. However, it will be up to the charity whether or not they submit this information when they complete their group registrations with runDisney. Should the charity choose not to provide this information, you will be placed in the last starting corral.

Here are the steps to follow to get this worthwhile process started.

    1. Select your desired runDisney race event and visit its specified web page on runDisney.com.

    2. From the event page, select the Registration tab and then select the Charity Groups tab. A list of participating charities for that race will be displayed. If a charity is not listed, no worries, they have not yet been announced or registration for that race has not yet opened to the public.

    3. Select the link for the charity you are interested in representing for information regarding fees, fundraising minimums and travel information.

You won't be disappointed in your decision to commit to running for charity. It's one of the most rewarding ways to runDisney.

I hope this information has been helpful, Mary Jane. I would love to know which race(s) you are interested in so I may provide more detailed information. And please do not hesitate to ask any additional questions you may have. As the runDisney Specialist on the Disney Parks Moms Panel I am here to help!

    Happy Running!
