Hi! We're WDW pros, about to make a 1st visit to DL. I booked a partial theme park view room at the GC. Can you tell me what "partial view" means? Trying to understand whether it's worth the cost to upgrade from standard or courtyard view. Th

I am thrilled to help you plan a vacation in my neck of the woods. The Disneyland Resort is going to totally thrill you. One of the best things about coming here is that Disneyland, Disney California Adventure Park and Downtown Disney are all right next to each other. Once you arrive everything is at so close by. It makes it all so much easier to enjoy without waiting for transportation. You are going to love staying at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. I recently spent 2 nights there for the opening of Cars Land and everything was simply top notch. The grand lobby and gorgeous fireplace are a great place to relax while sitting on a rocking chair listening to Disney music played by the amazing pianist in the lobby. A great moment to enjoy. I contacted the helpful hotel operator who advised me that the partial view means that you will see only a portion of the park, not a full view inside California Adventure. Last time I had a pool view with Grizzly Peak as my only view of the park.  As long as you are staying on property you will be in the right place. If you need to leave the parks to go to your room it will take just a few minutes as you can walk there quickly. I have attached a link to a new video that tells you about even more of the benefits of staying on site. I must admit that I am the guy in the blue shirt offering my thoughts on staying with my family at the Happiest Place on Earth.
