We are going to WDW in October. My son will be turning 6 while we are there. Is it true he can get a free pass for his birthday? If so, how do I go about doing it?

    Hi Monica,

The "What will you celebrate?" theme is for "2009" and will start January 1, 2009.  Unfortunately, if you are talking about going next month (October "2008"), you will not be able to get your son the free birthday admission ticket at one of the Parks.  If you would like the information about this event to take place in "2009", please visit this link.  You can register anyone in your family for any future birthday trip you may take in "2009" on the link that I have just provided.  By registering beforehand online you will save time when you do arrive rather than waiting and visiting a Will Call window at WDW on the actual day you will be visiting where you would then have to fill out the necessary forms and show proper identification including a birth date which may take a little while (but this is another option instead of registering now).  If you register beforehand, you will only need to bring your ID and a printout of your confirmation for this free gift!  Sorry to be the bearer of bad news for the free admission ticket this trip, but hopefully you will plan a trip next year where someone in your family can celebrate their birthday and receive the free admission then.  Happy 6th Birthday to your son!

    Best wishes,
    Brigitta
