We are going to wdw in October 2019 and just noticed the parks have a lot of extra magic hours. (MK is 7AM everyday) Does this mean its going to be a mob scene?

Hi there, William, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Let's help you plan a fabulous fall visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

You will indeed have even more time to enjoy some extra fun at Walt Disney World during your trip, William! Disney recently announced that Guests staying in Walt Disney World Resort hotels would have access to "extra, Extra Magic Hours" at the Theme Parks for a limited time. Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Animal Kingdom Park will each host extra, Extra Magic Hours for Resort hotel Guests daily from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m., starting on August 29 and continuing through November 2, 2019. Over at Disney's Hollywood Studios, where Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will soon welcome travelers to planet Batuu, you'll find extra, Extra Magic Hours September 1 - November 2 from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.

William, it seems the entire galaxy is abuzz to experience the out-of-this-world fun coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios when the newest land opens on August 29. Crowds are likely to increase right around opening day, and may stay elevated for a while. Taking advantage of the extra, Extra Magic Hours benefit is a great way to help manage your time, especially when visiting the other Parks.

Another option for your Magic Kingdom day if you're more night owl than early bird is to attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. It's a separate ticketed event with the number of Guests a bit more limited - and it's a whole lot of spook-tacular fun!

I hope this helps you plan your Disney days, William. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
