Hello! We are going to WDW on October, and I know the way of ordering food now is by mobile order. I´ve been investigating this on the app, and I can´t find how to let the restaurant know I need gluten free food. Can you let me know? thanks

    ¡Hola, Luciana!

It is a pleasure to welcome a fellow South American back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am happy to hear that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort real soon! All of us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel are counting down the days to return to the magic, so I can only imagine how excited you must be for your upcoming vacation!

In preparation for reopening, important updates and enhancements have been made to dining experiences following guidance from health authorities and appropriate government agencies. As you have already noticed, new measures have been implemented to promote health and hygiene, including reduced-contact menus. At table-service restaurants you will be able to scan a code with your mobile device to access the digital menu, and at quick –service locations the menus will be displayed on signage.

A very convenient tool that will assist you to minimize contact and save time is Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering, available on the My Disney Experience app during your visit. It will allow you to order head at select quick-service dining locations and pick up your order during a designated arrival window. I believe this feature is absolutely amazing because you do not have to wait in line to place your order and it can be done anytime! While using the app, select “Mobile Food Order”, tap “Create New Order” and select a location and an arrival window. Upon selecting an arrival window, you can select individual categories by selecting icons, or simply scroll down to see the complete menu. Where applicable, you may also find an allergy-friendly icon. Upon selecting this icon you will see a list of allergies that can be accommodated at that dining location and they may include gluten/wheat. As we are going through an unprecedented time, I highly recommend contacting the Special Diets team at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com ahead of your visit so that may help you navigate the dining process and direct you to locations that will accommodate your dietary needs.

Luciana, I hope this helps you while planning and that you stop by the Disney Parks Moms Panel in Spanish real soon! My fellow panelists will be happy to assist you in your beautiful language.

    Best magical wishes,
    Thiana
