We are going to WDW in October for the first time with our 3 and 5 year old daughters. How many days do you recommend going to Magic Kingdom versus the other parks. We want to make sure that we get to see all of Magic Kingdom without feeling rushed.

    Hi Staci!

A first trip to Walt Disney World will make lasting family memories.  With a 3 and 5 year old, I recommend spending 2 days in the Magic Kingdom, 1 day in the Future World part of Epcot, 1 day in Disney's Hollywood Studios and anywhere from a half a day to 1 full day in Disney's Animal Kingdom.  Definitely spend 2 days in the Magic Kingdom if you don't have time for all of the other days!

Since it's your first trip, I recommend picking up the book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and  Mike Neal.  I recommend it for all first time visitors.  It's a gorgeous book filled with lots of color pictures.  It also has just the right amount of information for a first timer.

Also, be sure to make Advanced Dining Reservations.  Not making ADRs is a common mistake that first timers make.  Walt Disney World has a lot of very popular Table Service (full service) restaurants and they can fill up very quickly (like months in advance).

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
