We are going to WDW in October . There 7 adults and 2 children to make sure we see as much as we can. Without planning meals. What would you do in each park each day. We have tickets for the Halloween party on a Thursday. Thanks for the help....

    Hi Therese!

I love visiting Walt Disney World in October. The weather is spectacular, the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is awesome, and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is always a blast.

You asked a great question. Based on what I read, I've got a few ideas that might help get the party started as you're working on your itinerary:

    1) Ask each member of your party to list out 2-3 attractions, shows, and parades they would like to experience at each theme park.

    2) Once you have everyone's wish list, get a feel for the lay of the land in each park by figuring out where those attractions, shows, and parades will be located. This will help you draft an itinerary that flows well.

    3) Familiarize yourself with the attractions that offer Disney's FASTPASS service. Remember, if a particular attraction is offering a FASTPASS window that is hours away, you'll be unable to obtain another FASTPASS until that timeframe rolls around. So, choose wisely.

    4) Download the My Disney Experience Mobile App on your smartphone so you can see the wait times for the nearby attractions. This can really help you fine-tune your itinerary by keeping tabs on the crowds throughout the day.

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

I've had the opportunity to take Disney vacations with large groups of people. In some cases, it worked really well for the whole group to stick together for the entire day. Other times, it helped to divide and conquer. When we did that, we planned meet-ups throughout the day (my favorite being the 3:00 ice cream meet-up!).

I hope that helps you get started with your planning. Please feel free to write back if you have questions about specific attractions, shows, or parades and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
