We are going to WDW in Oct. & are thinking of doing the "mickey's not so scary party". Our kids are 7 & 2.. is it worth it with such young kids? What would you suggest for kids their age? We are staying off property.

I am so glad you asked about Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party.  I have gone to the event many times.  I brought my daughter when she was 2.  We have also gone with friends with children between the ages of 4 and 9.

From my perspective, the party would be great for your family.  It really isn't scary and there are so many activities.  Not only do they have two specially themed parades, but they have two showings of the most amazing fireworks displays I have ever seen.  I especially love how the fireworks are shot off from various spots throughout the park.  It creates a real sense of surprise and most importantly you get a great view no matter where your standing.

We also like the extra characters that are around and the trick-or-treating that is included.  Running around to each of the giant glowing Mickey balloons is a lot of fun itself.  There are also very short lines to many of the popular attractions because of the limited park tickets sold.

My only advice would be not to make any early morning plan for the next day.
