Going to WDW in Oct. staying at Caribbean Beach Resort. If I am flying overnight from CA on Friday eve and arriving in Fla early Sat (between 2-5 AM), will i have a room to check into when i get there? Do i make my reservation begin Fri or Sat?

    Hi Shauna!

I can see you will be taking the great "red-eye" flight from California to reach your Orlando destination. Hopefully you will be able to catch some sleep on the flight so you are ready to explore the great Walt Disney World vacation destination!

If you will need a room immediately when you arrive you will need to book the extra Friday night room at the Caribbean Resort. I realize that this is a tough decision to spend the extra money for just a few hours use but it is the only way to guarantee a room for you upon arrival at such an early hour. If you do book the Friday night then you will also need to call the resort and specifically talk to someone to let them know about the timing of your arrival so they do not cancel the reservation.

October is generally a busy time at Walt Disney World between the guests coming for the Food and Wine Festival as well as the Halloween special event parties. It might be a bit of a gamble to hope for an empty room upon arrival. If nothing is open you will be more then welcome to enjoy the resort facilities until a room opens up. You will be sent a text when that happens so you can head to the pool early morning when it opens or sit in the lobby area or grab a bite to eat once those open.

Guest check-out is 11am and check-in is at 3pm. Housekeeping works as quickly as they can to get rooms up and running for the next guests. You can always request first available room when you arrive unless you had your heart set on a certain area.

It is a lot to consider and only you can decide what will work best for you and your daughter. I like the idea of a guaranteed room but sometimes the budget likes the gamble! I am sure you and your daughter will have an amazing Disney vacation!
