Will be in WDW Oct. 26-Oct 29. Staying at WDW Moderate resort. WIll be with my husband and 2 daughters. What is the easiest way to get from resort to park? How long does it typically take? What are other options?

    Hi Sara!

With the exception of the Magic Kingdom, the easiest way to get from a Disney Moderate Resort to a theme park is via a car!  The Magic Kingdom is the only exception because the Magic Kingdom parking lot is separated from the Magic Kingdom by the Seven Seas Lagoon forcing you to take the monorail or the ferry boat to reach the theme park.  Disney buses drop you off right in front of the theme park.

If you don't have a car then you will need to take a Disney bus from the resort to the theme parks and Downtown Disney.  Buses typically run about every 20 minutes and a lot of guests that have cars prefer taking the buses anyways.  You should plan on it typically taking 30 minutes, which includes an average amount of time for  a bus to appear in the first place.  Of course, if you just happened to miss a bus by a couple of minutes then it will probably take longer!

Other options are to take a taxi, but I only recommend taking taxis to get to another resort as the buses typically do not run from resort to resort.

Enjoy planning your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation and write back if you have any more questions!
