We will be at WDW on Oct. 05. First stop is Epcot at approximately 2pm. We have our passes and reservation. Do we have to be physically in the park to join the virtual que? Or can we join on the My Disney Experience app from the airport?

    Bonjour, Elena! Welcome to planDisney!

Only nine days until your magical vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort begins! You know what that means...time to do the single-digit dance!

Elena, it sounds like your family is hoping to ride along with the Little Chef himself on Remy's Ratatouille Adventure to start your vacation off on the right paw. As you mentioned, the attraction will use a virtual queue to help keep Guests' time waiting in line to a minimum. Disney opens access to the virtual queue for Remy's Ratatouille Adventure through the My Disney Experience mobile app at 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. each day. If you'd like to try to hop into the morning opening, you can do that from "virtually" anywhere. For the afternoon, however, Guests need to have already entered EPCOT to attempt to join the virtual queue. In my experience, the virtual queue books up very quickly, so you may miss it if you're not getting there until after 2 p.m. But I'd definitely give it a try when you do arrive. You never know when a little magic may come your way!

Your best bet to have an adventure with Remy will probably be to rethink your schedule a bit. Looking at the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar, the whole week of October 5 is green, so you do have some flexibility to visit EPCOT on a different day. Just note that if you decide to make a change, you'll need to cancel your current Disney Park Pass reservation and make a new one.

Even if you don't end up joining Remy on this trip, Elena, you'll love exploring the new area of the France pavilion. Be sure to stop by La Creperie de Paris for a sweet treat (or a stick-to-your-ribs savory delight!), and look for the Disney PhotoPass photo opportunity right in front of the gorgeous fountain. You'll spot a few of Remy's pals posing on the fountain, too!

I hope this helps you have a tres bien visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, Elena. Safe travels, and please come see us again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
