We will be in WDW NYE and but we will not be going to the parks. We have Chef Mickey's reservations but after that where should we go to see the best fireworks? Traveling with 7 year old and 4 year old. Also will DTD have anything going on? Love this panel

    Hi Cindy,

Thank you for your "Disney love" and we love you back!  Every time I sit down to answer Disney vacation planning questions I feel like I'm chatting with my friends.  So thank you friend for taking time to submit your question to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  We love to hear from you!

First - way to go snagging Chef Mickey's Advanced Dining Reservations for New Year's Eve!  I can't imagine a better way for a 4 and 7 year old to celebrate the New Year than with their five favorite pals. Since you will be in the Magic Kingdom area, I suggest watching Wishes Nighttime Spectacular from the beach of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.  The beach area is a fun place for children to play and adults can even grab an adult beverage if they like.  Music is piped in to make the experience magical.

Downtown Disney typically has DJ dance parties and live entertainment throughout New Year's Evening.  In addition, food and beverage offerings including the Disney Food Trucks will be plentiful.  While there are no fireworks at Downtown Disney, it will certainly be a fun and festive atmosphere.  If you are looking for additional entertainment, you might consider purchasing tickets for la Nouba by Cirque du Soleil or admission to DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park.

Thank you for your question Cindy.  Please let us know if you have any further Disney vacation planning questions.  We are always happy to help!

    Blessings,
