Hi. Been to WDW numerous times, but never stayed at a Disney resort. My children are 13 (boy) and 7 (girl). Looking to stay at a moderate resort. Recommend any one? Why?

    Hi Gayle,

Staying at a Walt Disney World Resort puts you right in the middle of the magic.  Once you pass under that WDW arch, it's as though you are in a bubble away from the cares of the rest of the world for the duration of your vacation.

Moderate resorts are great!  One of my favorites is Port Orleans Riverside.  Although it's a large resort, it seems quaint and peaceful.  Some of the rooms have been recently renovated with a Princess & the Frog theme, and they are absolutely gorgeous.  Port Orleans has one of the best quick service areas of any of the moderate resorts. You have easy access to Downtown Disney either via bus transportation or boat launch.  The pool is really fun, and there are other activities as well.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
