Hi, Rebecca!
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I hope you’re looking forward to your first visit to the Disneyland Resort!
Actually, the traditional paper FASTPASS system is still in use at the Disneyland Resort theme parks. Disney’s FastPass+ system is unique to the Walt Disney World theme parks in Florida, and the My Disney Experience mobile app and MagicBands are intended for use there only as of this time.
While there is not an official Disney app for the theme parks here in California, I like to use Disneyland Lines from TouringPlans.com. This free app provides users with real-time attraction wait times, estimated wait times and FASTPASS distribution and return times. You can update wait times while in the parks to assist others, and there is even a function that measures how long you wait in an attraction queue to improve the wait time feature’s accuracy. It has searchable menus and grants access to the site’s well-known computer-optimized Touring Plans.
I hope this helps, Rebecca. Please visit me again with any other planning questions you have!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
