Hi, We are going to be at WDW from November 4th-November 8th. I know the Christmas festivities do not begin until November 8th but will there been Christmas decorations up? Or is it something that they decorate the entire park all in one night?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Joelle! What a magical time to be at Walt Disney World Resort! I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the level of holiday magic you’ll find during your trip!

What would you say if I told you that YES! … the Parks are transformed overnight from Halloween to Christmas after the strokes of midnight? Disney captured this holiday magic on camera one year and it still astounds me to this day. While the Parties will not start for a few days, you’ll certainly be able to revel on Main Street, U.S.A. in all the festive boughs and perhaps even watch a few go up yourself around the Resorts. Since the Grand Floridian Gingerbread House goes up i the “teens” of November, you may miss that, but be sure there is plenty to see! If you still have a dinner slot left to fill, consider the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground. They start adding a little holiday flair when Magic Kingdom decorates and it’s a fun show to watch any time of the year.

If I can help you find your way around Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party during your visit, please let me know.  You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
