We are going to WDW Nov 18-24, staying at OKW. Which park would be best for Thanksgiving. We want to avoid some of the crowds. Would Downtown Disney be a better option. Thanks

Sherry, Thanksgiving is a popular time at Walt Disney World. The weather, however, is beautiful and tends to be sunny and warm without the heat and high humidity of the summer. Plus the parks and resorts will be in full holiday mode complete with fabulous Christmas decorations.

I have found that Thanksgiving Day is perhaps not as crowded as the day before or the weekend after. People tend to leave the parks late afternoon for a traditional feast. You might want to consider Friday or Wednesday as your Downtown Disney day and visit a park on Thanksgiving. The Magic Kingdom is typically the busiest of the four theme parks. Try the non Disney website touring plans for a quite thorough analysis of crowds and lines.

One of our family's favorite Thanksgiving meals ever was when we ate turkey, dressing, and the works from room service at Disney's Fort Wilderness Lodge. I hope your family also creates some magical memories on your holiday visit to Walt Disney World.
