Hello All, Going to WDW Nov 21-28 So excietd to be down for the holiday but not sure what to do on Thanksgiving? Will there be a parade? Any information is greatly appreciated!

Hi, Casey!  The holiday season is absolutely my favorite time to be at Walt Disney World.  My family and I travel every year for Christmas, and every couple of years over the Thanksgiving holiday, just to soak up the holiday spirit and enjoy the festivities.

There are no Thanksgiving day parades at any of the theme parks, and you are going to find that by Thanksgiving, the entire place is ready for Christmas!  Some of the restaurants have special holiday themed menus, even offering complete traditional Thanksgiving dinners.  If you haven't made a Walt Disney World Dining Reservation yet for the holiday itself, now is the time to look into that.

The biggest thing to remember on Thanksgiving is to pack your patience.  The lines at the parks tend to be much longer than a typical day, and the crowds can feel overwhelming.  Make your FastPass+ reservations for the things you really want to do so you don't miss out, then plan to arrive as early as you can to pack in even more holiday fun.

Plan to spend the whole day at the theme park of your choice.  The Magic Kingdom has filled to capacity on Thanksgiving day in the past, and there is a chance that if you leave to do something else, you may not be able to get back in, even if you have a dining reservation.

Most of all, have fun!  Soak in the holiday mood and enjoy the lights and colors of the season!

    Happy vacationing!
