I am going to WDW from Nov 27-Dec3. Why is it that I can't book any character dining through the website, but when I call for reservations I can usually get one?

    Hi Sandra,

    That is unusual.

Technically speaking, the same dining reservations should be available to book online via the Walt Disney World website as over the telephone with a Cast Member, at any given time.

I do know that sometimes there are glitches with the online system and occasionally, there is a slight delay with tables being loaded into the online system but these scenarios should only occur in a very small number of cases.

I do totally understand your concern as getting those coveted Advance Dining Reservations, especially at Character Dining locations, isn't always easy.

In future, I would recommend trying to secure the dining reservations of your choice via the online system first and calling to speak with a Cast Member in Dining Reservations on (407) 939-1947 if you encounter any difficulties.

As dining reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance, you may now struggle to find availability at some of the most popular Character Dining locations for dates during your upcoming stay. That said, cancellations do occur all of the time so it is definitely worth checking for availability at any restaurants which you would really like to dine at regularly between now and your arrival at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
