We will be at WDW from Nov 25 - Dec 2, which of the deluxe hotels has the best Christmas decorations? Thank you!

    Hi Kristy,

I am having a tough time deciding between the Christmas decorations at two of Disney's deluxe resorts:  Disney's Wilderness Lodge and DIsney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.  Disney's Wilderness Lodge is my personal favorite.  This resort is drop-dead gorgeous all year round, taking its inspiration from the rustic and awe-inspiring National Park Service lodges built in the early twentieth century.  At Christmastime, however, the cast members who decorate this magical place find a way to make it even more incredible.  With an enormous Christmas tree in the seven-story main lobby and countless wreaths and smaller trees throughout the resort, you could spend hours just soaking up the ambiance of this amazing place.  If you're a photographer, take a tripod as I'll guarantee you'll take hundreds of photos as you try to capture the majesty of this stunning resort at Christmas.

My parents, however, would disagree with me.  They would vote for Disney's Grand Floridian as the deluxe resort with the most extraordinary Christmas decorations.  You'll be amazed by the whimsy and delight that their life-size gingerbread house offers guests.  It is found in the lobby and smells so yummy!  It's a good thing they have a low rope around this attraction or guests would be drawn to nibble on this tempting cottage.  Fortunately you can purchase smaller gingerbread houses or single shingles for your own consumption.  The tall tree in the lobby is so elegant and beautifully decorated.  Nowhere else on Disney property will you find a more stunning array of poinsettia plants.  Cast members arrange lovely white reindeer throughout the resort using the beds of poinsettias as a stunning backdrop.

Whichever resort you choose, be sure to make time to go see the decorations at the other resort.

Wishing you an amazing holiday adventure at Walt Disney World!
