Will be @ WDW 9/3-9/10. Noticed MK closes at 7 pm 9/9. Does that mean we might get lucky and MNSSHP will be on that night? Thanks!

    Hi Bonnie,

Love that you are planning ahead because September will be here before you know it!

There is a special event planned at the Magic Kingdom on Sept. 9th, 2011 but I am afraid its not Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP). Night of Joy is scheduled for Sept 9th & 10th, 2011.

Disney has not yet announced the 2011 MNSSHP dates. The 2010 dates began on Sept 14, 2010 so one would guess (I don't know for sure) that the dates will begin mid-Sept this year as well. The Disney Parks Blog announced the 2010 MNSSHP & Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party dates on May 21, 2010. Hopefully we'll find out around that time this year too if not sooner.

While I think you may just miss MNSSHP, your safest bet to know for sure is to wait for the official announcement to be made. Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog regarding the official dates as they usually make announcements there. If you're on twitter, follow @DisneyParks & @WaltDisneyWorld. If you're on Facebook, keep an eye on the official Disney World Facebook page. You're also welcome to check back with us in a couple of months.

Wishing you many magical birthday memories :-) Allison
