Welcome Home, Georgina--it is a practically perfect day to be talking all things
Disney Vacation Club here at planDisney! I'm so looking forward to helping you with your upcoming trip from across the pond.
It sounds as though you will be having an epic adventure at
Walt Disney World Resort with this longer stay. I like your style! Making
dining reservations in advance is always a great idea to ensure you can enjoy a meal at one of your favorite restaurants, or embark on a new culinary adventure. I always have a calendar reminder set for the date that my 60-day window to book opens up, and I imagine you do, as well!
Georgina, I suggest merging the resort reservations
first so that you have the same 60-day date to begin booking all of your dining reservations for the duration of your vacation. The friendly folks at
Member Services can easily wave their magic wands and make this happen for you!
Don't forget that you can also add a
Disney dining plan to your reservation, with two options to accommodate your dining preferences. The dining plans also come with a Resort Refillable Mug, which can be used at any self-service beverage station at the Walt Disney World hotels. I like to bring my empty mug into the theme parks and refill it with water throughout the day to stay hydrated.
While you're here in The Most Magical Place on Earth this summer, there will be sunshine and warm weather in abundance. Here's a few of my tips to beat the heat:
- The Member Lounge at EPCOT, located in the Imagination! Pavilion, is perfect for a midday break. Members can relax with complimentary beverages and snacks and charge up their devices so you don't miss that notification for your Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind boarding group!
- Cool off with some treats from Swirls on the Water at Disney Springs. The DOLE treat flight is a refreshing snack on a hot afternoon.
- The Florida humidity, combined with all of the walking one does in the theme parks, can be tough on the feet! I recommend having a couple of pairs of comfortable walking shoes that you can switch, as well as moisture-wicking socks and moleskin/blister padding so you don't miss a step!
Georgina, I hope this information is helpful as your 60-day booking window will open in just a few short weeks! I'm as excited for you as a chimney sweep dancing across the rooftops of London. Please visit us again anytime at planDisney if we can help answer any other questions.
Wishing you a jolly holiday!
Susan
