We are going to WDW for 7 nights. Based on our reservations are I don't think that we have a chance to park hop. My DH wants to have the flexibility to hop. Can we buy the base ticket and add the hopper at the gate for the same price as buying ahead?

    Hello Christine!

I can appreciate your discussion about whether or not to purchase the Park Hopper Option for your theme park tickets.  If it's any help to you, I always recommend this option if possible.  Here's why!  You may spend the day at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, for example,  and go back to your resort for some relaxation.   Later, you might decide you really want to see Wishes Nighttime Spectacular inside Magic Kingdom Park.  The Park Hopper Option allows you to do just that.

If you choose to upgrade to that option at the gate, you can absolutely do so.  You would need to do this at any of the 4 major theme parks or at Guest Relations at Downtown Disney.  There is no discount for purchasing theme park tickets ahead of time through Disney, so your upgrade price will be the same at the gate.

Feel free to write back and ask me any additional planning questions.  I'm happy to help.

Until then, I wish you a magical vacation!
