Hi. I am going to WDW next year - first timer! I am looking into a travel card for $ instead of carrying cash. Its basically a pre-paid mastercard. Can I link this to my app & pay for food(preorder)? Staying off site but will be buying Magic band also.

    Hi there Maeve,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Congrats on making your plans for your first Walt Disney World vacation! Mickey always loves to meet new Pals, and you're sure to have lots of magic awaiting you. The Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering service is super simple to use and so convenient. I used it on a recent trip and I really appreciated bypassing the long line at the Quick Service restaurant where I ordered lunch. You can pay for your mobile order through the My Disney Experience Mobile App using credit cards, debit cards like your travel card, and Disney dining plans. Your idea for getting a MagicBand is also a great plan, and I always feel that MagicBands are the perfect combination of fashion and functionality.

Maeve, as you get ready for your first visit to Walt Disney World, you might want to check out the Free Vacation Planning Videos. They're a great way to get to know all the theme parks, attractions, entertainment, shopping, and dining options all around Walt Disney World. Also, please do feel free to come back to us at Disney Parks Moms Panel. We're here and happy to help you plan your amazing stay.

Wishing you a magical Walt Disney World vacation.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
