Welcome to planDisney, Mike. We are glad you stopped by with your question about making sure your party can make plans together even though you have different park tickets. Your visit is right around the corner so I hope you are getting excited.
Getting your party locked in before the time to join the
Virtual Queue is almost as important as making sure you have the app opened and waiting to refresh once the clock strikes 7 a.m. The group you are with may mostly have the same ticket type, standard tickets, and Annual Passholders need to use the
Disney Theme Park Reservation System to schedule the dates they will be visiting. The 4-day, 4-park tickets have a 7-day window to be used and as long as they have not used that park yet they will be able to join your party to obtain boarding passes for some of the latest and greatest offerings at
Magic Kingdom Park and
EPCOT.
Magic Kingdom is my personal favorite and getting the brand new coaster
TRON Lightcycle / Run Presented by Enterprise boosted it into first place forever. When you obtain a boarding pass you will be notified by the
My Disney Experience App, make sure you have notifications turned on. This is where you also will need to obtain your boarding pass. You will need to be on the App before 7 a.m. to join the
Virtual Queue. If for some reason you are not able to get your boarding pass at 7 a.m. there is another opportunity to join at 1 p.m. You will need to be inside the park of that specific attraction to join the 1 p.m. Virtual Queue. EPCOT has my favorite attraction I have ever been on,
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind left me speechless. This coaster has a reverse launch, it turns 360 degrees to make sure you are always focused on the action, and of course everyone's favorite group of superhero misfits. You also could get different songs each time you ride which I think is cool.
I hope this information helps plan your days. This sounds like an awesome trip already so get your ears packed and don't forget to bring the 6-year-old inside of you.
See ya real soon,
Jeremy A.
