Hi! We have been to WDW on New Year's Eve in the past. We were given really cute hats and noise makers in Epcot. Do u know if they give these out anywhere else? We will go to DD that day and have dinner that night at Ohana. Staying at the Contemporary.

First of all, Jennifer, let me just say that your plan to spend the holiday at Downtown Disney is a great one.  My family was on property for New Years Eve a few years ago and we, too, wisely decided to spend the day at Downtown Disney as opposed to one of the theme parks.  It was a great way to avoid heavy crowds.  Unfortunately, though, by doing so we weren't able to experience the cute noise makers and hats that you were given.  I searched high and low for an answer to whether or not those items are given out elsewhere on property and I came up empty.  The general consensus is that it's sort of a "luck of the draw" type of thing and you shouldn't plan on it, but it could happen.  I will say that 'Ohana typically does give out artificial flower leis.  But if you've got your heart set on fun hats and silly noise makers, you might want to pack a few of those just to be on the safe side.  I hope that helps!
