Hi there, Catina, and welcome back to planDisney! I'm honored that you've chosen us to be your go-to resource for Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning advice! My Panelist pals are I are here and always happy to help fellow guests like you.
Catina, a Christmastime visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth sounds amazing! I've heard that Walt Disney himself loved Christmas, and Walt Disney World Resort definitely seems to honor his legacy with all of the incredible decorations and celebrations that you'll find throughout the holiday season. I, too, recently considered a Disney vacation that would be totally holiday-focused, and I came up with a strategy that I hope to use during my next Christmastime visit!
If you want to attend the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, I recommend arriving at EPCOT in the morning and enjoying everything at the park throughout the day, and ending with the Candlelight Processional. The next morning, sleep in and then get brunch somewhere fun, like
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera at
Disney's Riviera Resort. Enjoy a few hours relaxing at your resort, then start making your way toward
Magic Kingdom Park. Hop on the Monorail and grab early dinner at one of the restaurants within walking distance, like
Kona Cafe at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Then head to
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party as soon as you're allowed. This party keeps going well into the night, so you'll be glad you got your rest the night before!
Since the dates for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party haven't been announced yet, you'll want to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for an announcement. As the dates for your vacation draw nearer, you'll also be able to find out who the speaker will be for the Candlelight Processional!
Catina, did you know that
Disney's Hollywood Studios also has a new holiday event called
Disney Jollywood Nights? It's a celebration of yuletide glitz and glamour! If you're a fan of Hollywood Studios, you might consider a visit that includes this fun party as well.
I love spending the holidays at Walt Disney World Resort, and I know you will, too! Please stop back by planDisney with any other vacation planning questions you have!
Happy holiday planning!
