Hi Kerry Anne!
Since you will be traveling with multi generations, my favorite special thing to do on a Disney vacation is to book a
Specialty Cruise. This is when you book a pontoon boat in either the Epcot area or Magic Kingdom area and then cruise around for a while to enjoy the peaceful water setting and end watching either the Magic Kingdom fireworks or the Epcot Illuminations show.
This will be the best seat in the house for either show and you don't have a care in the world. The boats come with a captain who takes over the helm so no worries there. You will also be offered snacks and drinks complimentary of the cruise. If you would like something more special you can contact Resort Dining at the marina location where you will depart from. You can order appetizers, cakes, sweets, champagne and more.
You do not have to be a resort guest where you depart from. When you call you can request a specific marina resort or find out which ones have boats available. If you wish an Epcot Illuminations Cruise then they all will depart from the Yacht Club Marina.
If your budget can take off then Disney also offers the Grand 1 yacht. This boat is based at the Grand Floridian and is a true yacht with bedrooms, baths, and indoor and outdoor seating for the evening of fun. It comes with a captain and a server who will take care of every need. You can even order a full meal to be served during your voyage. You will definitely feel like Disney royalty on this ship.
This is a great idea for celebrating life in general and doing something special with the family.
