    Going to WDW May4th. Been there 19 x. Going with son's fam, 2 kids 5 & 2. Trying to decide between std rm in 60's at Pop or Little Mermaid at Aof A. Stayed at POP but not A of A. Gr son loves CARS but Mermaid seems to far compared to 60's. Suggest

    Hi Patty!

    Sounds like you've got a great vacation planned!  We always love to try new resorts, and I've been looking forward to a stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort!  It's amazingly themed, and larger than life!  You'd easily be able to walk over to the Cars area so your grandson to visit.

    We really enjoy our walks to and from the main buildings to our room, and find it is a nice wind down at the end of the day, or a great wake up in the morning!   I'd expect about a 5 minute walk and maybe longer if the little one is walking.  Buildings 7 and 9 offer a shorter walk than building 8, so if possible, I'd request a room in one of those buildings.
