I am going to WDW in May 2017 and am really excited that The Polite Pig opened in Disney Springs in time for my trip. I noticed it is not owned and operated by Disney and am wondering if it will be included in the DDP?

Hello, Ambria, and thank you for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel for assistance with your vacation planning! The new offerings at Disney Springs are so beautiful and expansive, I could spend an entire week there and not see everything!

My last trip was spent shopping, though I usually visit Disney Springs to fill up my tummy! The Polite Pig is a sweet little quick-service restaurant that opened recently and folks have been raving about it! Who doesn’t love a little Florida-inspired fare and BBQ? I’m sad to tell you that The Polite Pig is not currently accepting the Dining Plans, but you should always check back during your trip. The eatery’s website will tell you in the right hand column, the current Dining Plan status. If you don’t end up eating lunch or dinner there, I would recommend visiting for the Key Lime Pie and perhaps a bourbon cocktail. The available list is something to behold!

If you're still craving BBQ, but need to stick to a Dining Plan, I recommend a table reservation at the Planet Hollywood Observatory. The Champion Pork BBQ Sandwich is excellent! I hope you have a delectable Disney Spring trip and find everything that you’re looking for! ~ Lindsey P.
