Going to WDW in May for the first time. My son has severe contact allergies which prohibit us from using most cleaning solutions as they tend to eat away at his skin. How would I find out what cleaners the resorts use?

    Hi Michelle,
I can see how travel could be a challenge, but the Walt Disney World resorts work really hard to meet any special needs.  If you have already made your resort reservations, call 1-407-WDISNEY and ensure that full details of the allergies are written on your reservation.  The cast member you speak to can also connect you directly with the front desk of that hotel so you can ask specific questions about the types of cleaners used.  If you have not made reservations yet, give full details when you book.

The Disney resorts can do 'VIP Room Cleaning' for guests with allergies.  They can also do things like double-rinse the linens.  The key would be to communicate with them early and let them know your needs.  You are in good time here, and I would recommend calling and discussion this as soon as possible.

If you are planning any dining or character experiences (where table linens etc could be an issue), once again you should give full details of the situation when you book.

Michelle, I wish you and your family a magical time together!

Walt Disney World stole my heart when my parents introduced me to the magic the year it opened. I fondly remember my first 'Mickey Mouse in a Glass House' balloon! I still visit with my parents-and now with my husband and our two teens. Learn More About Lynn
