We will be going to WDW in May (first time). We have a 3 day base ticket and going into MK & HS. I have 2 boys (2 & 4). Do you think they would enjoy AK or Epcot better for the 3rd day?

    Hi, Hollie!

First of all, what a great time of year to be going to WDW! Enjoy!

Regarding that third day on your base ticket, I'd say that the boys will love either AK or Epcot.  However, if your boys are dinosaur lovers (my son was at those ages) or animal lovers, then I'd say to go to Animal Kingdom Park.

Your boys are the perfect ages to enjoy The Boneyard, as well as The Boneyard Playground, in DinoLand, U.S.A. This will be one stop where they will be able to run around and explore, climb and slide until they've worked off that extra energy that's been stored up during their power naps! On the live animal front, you can take the Wildlife Express Train to Rafiki's Planet Watch, which includes a petting zoo (Affection Section). Similarly, you can't beat the splendor of Kilimanjaro Safaris, where you'll see exotic animals of Africa up close as you ride in a guided safari vehicle. Walks through Maharajah Jungle Trek and Pangani Forest Exploration Trail also provide your family with views of exotic animals such as gorillas, meerkats, tigers and even a Komodo dragon!

The shows at AK, too, are great for little ones. We love the Festival of the Lion King, as well as Finding Nemo -The Musical, both of which are at AK.

I've only brushed the surface here, but as you can see, this park will offer you something very different from what you'll see at both MK and HS. I'm sure that your entire family will simply love your day spent at AK!

Please send us any additional questions you might have about your upcoming WDW vacation!  We love to help!
