    We will be in WDW May 22. Going to AK, then to DTD for lunch. We have a vehicle, but mostly use Disney transportation. Is it better to take a bus or drive ourselves and what is the fastest way from AK to DTD? Thanks!

    Scaling Mt. Everest in the morning, then heading out for lunch? Sounds like you have quite a Disney-full day in store! Let's help you in your quest to get it all done.

    There are a couple of things to note in your plan to trek from Disney's Animal Kingdom Park to Downtown Disney. First, you can't take Disney transportation directly between the Theme Parks and Downtown Disney. You would need to take the bus to a Disney Resort hotel first, then transfer to another bus bound for Downtown Disney. It's a short trip to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, so I'd suggest heading there to make your transfer.

    Driving your own vehicle would be a quicker trip, but do be aware that as Downtown Disney transitions to the new Disney Springs, parking and traffic around it may be a little tricky. As you approach the area, keep an eye out for signs directing you to available parking. The new garage is also open, so you may find spots there. One cool thing about the garage: it has a digital alert system letting you know which levels have spots available so you're not driving around a full level looking for a spot.
