We are going to WDW in March with our 2-yr-old son, and we will be staying at a hotel with a full kitchen to help save money on food. Can you give us any more tips to save money?

    Hi, Ashley!

Bringing your own food and beverages will really help you economize on your vacation. You are permitted to bring snacks and drinks into the Parks (be advised that your coolers will be searched as part of routine security, and that glass containers are not permitted in the Parks).

Disney often extends wonderful offers to its Florida neighbors (and how lucky we are to have the Parks in our beautiful backyard!). Right now, for example, Florida residents can take advantage of a three day pass for only $99, with the option of adding a fourth day for just $30 more (this offer ends on May 24, 2012). Your two-year-old will not need a ticket, so you are certainly going to save on that admission. Depending on your travel dates, you might find other resident offers in play.

Consider purchasing a couple of items at the Disney Store and bringing them with you as a surprise for your two-year-old. The price differential can be significant.

Finally, you can limit your spending by putting your allotment of "fun money" on Disney gift cards - and leaving your credit cards behind. If you restrict yourself to what's on the card, you'll find yourself prioritizing what you really want, and not purchasing a variety of items that then later might fall by the wayside.

Please feel free to drop me a line with any more questions you might have; if you are willing to share your general travel dates, I can look into any upcoming offers that might be scheduled for that time.

    Have a wonderful trip!

    See you later, celebrator,

    -Deborah B.
