We will be going to WDW in March 2008, for the first time. Do we need to make reservations for meals? We have deluxe package but no meal plan. Should we get a meal plan and if so how do we make reservations or should we wing it without a plan?

Hooray!!!  I'm going to assume when you say 'deluxe package', you are staying in one of the Deluxe Resorts.  I would definitely make reservations to a few key restaurants, if you are wanting to view a dinner show, attend a Character Meal, all of these will require a reservation.  I would go to www.waltdisneyworld.com and click on Dining in the right hand corner, once opened, you will see a text box, to the right of box, you will see advanced dining, click on it, and you can search for restaurants in different parks.  You can search Character Meals, or Signature Dining, or counter service meals.  I always looked at the ages of my kids, when deciding the Dining Plans or no Dining Plan.  When they were younger, we saved money by not purchasing the Dining Plan, now that they are older, it is saving us money.  We prefer the Deluxe Dining Plan, as it gives you the option of three table service meals a day.  It helps when we eat at restaurants like Chef Mickey's, or heading to Cape May Cafe, perhaps, a visit to the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review.  Good Luck!!
