Going to WDW March 15-23, 2008. We (3 adults, 1 child) are on the deluxe dining plan. Are gratuities included on the plan or not? I have read yes and no. I just want to be sure that I don't unknowingly stiff a waiter or tip twice. Thanks.

    Hi Jonelle,

This is quite a tough subject for everyone right now to give detailed answers to, as the dining plan has changed for 2008 and there are many new changes.  May I suggest that I will tell you what I know about the plan and then refer you to call: (407)-WDW-DINE to speak with a cast member for more detailed information so I don't steer you in the wrong direction?  Congratulations, by the way on getting the "Deluxe Dining Plan", get ready to eat, enjoy all those snacks you will be receiving and again eat some more!  If you click on this link above you will be able to download detailed information about the new dining plan as well.  Just look under the "Package Details" heading and click on "Disney's Deluxe Dining package for extra savings and convenience" to find the Download button!

Okay, now on to what I know.  The gratuities are not included in the Dining Plans anymore, with a few exceptions:  Gratuities will be included at "Cinderella's Royal Table", Dinner shows such as; "Mickey's Backyard BBQ", "Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show", "Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue", and some "Grand Gathering Exclusive Experiences".  All other Table Service meals will automatically charge you your 18% gratuity onto your bill, so there is no need to leave extra unless you feel you had exceptional service.  Me, personally, I would take advantage of the included gratuities at the above dining experiences (as these are the one's we like going to the most anyways!)  I hope this helps you.

    Best wishes,
    Brigitta
