Season's Greetings, Tom! With the
holiday season in full swing at the Walt Disney World Resort, there's no better time to plan a jolly holiday, and I'm so glad you came to planDisney with your question today!
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party takes place on select nights at Magic Kingdom Park and offers its guests unique opportunities like rare character meet and greets, attraction overlays just for the holiday season, specialty snacks and merchandise, and holiday entertainment (don't miss
Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas Parade and
Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show)! In addition to all of this, guests can experience lower wait times for their favorite
attractions since the party tickets are limited to keep crowds (and wait times!) low! During the party, all available attractions will operate using a traditional standby queue only, so there is no need to worry about joining a
Virtual Queue to experience any of the available attractions! Additionally,
Lightning Lane Passes are not available to guests during the party, which keeps the standby lines flowing!
Tom, I attended Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on opening night this year, and was able to experience all of the attractions on my to-do list with no wait times exceeding 20 minutes! You can keep an eye on the wait times during the party in your
My Disney Experience mobile app, and I do recommend catching the second parade and trying to prioritize some of the most popular attractions during the first parade if you plan to stay the entire time! We headed to
Tiana's Bayou Adventure during the first parade and only waited about 15 minutes; as soon as we finished this attraction, we went to
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad which had a posted wait time of only 5 minutes!
Tom, I'm sure you are going to have a magical time celebrating the season with Mickey and his pals! Be sure to take advantage of the special holiday Magic Shots with the PhotoPass photographers during the party; we captured some awesome memories during our visit! And if you have any other planning questions, come on back to
planDisney and let us know!
Happy Holidays,
Alison
