    Hello WDW lovers! I am looking for clarity on Moonlight Afterhours; what is the difference between normal after hours for Disney resort stayers and Moonlight Afterhours? We're DVC members staying at the Polynesian. Thank you!

    Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

    Enjoying Disney by the light of any silvery moon is a special experience, and you are right that there are differences between Moonlight Magic, Extra Magic Hours, and Disney After Hours.

    The complimentary Moonlight Magic after-hours events are for Disney Vacation Club Members and their guests. The events offer popular attractions, character meet and greets, refreshments, and dance parties.  For 2018, Disney Vacation Club is planning Moonlight Magic events for each of the 4 Walt Disney World theme parks, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park, and Disney California Adventure Park in California. As I write this, there are 14 Moonlight Magic events scheduled for 2018. My wife and I are attending Moonlight Magic at Magic Kingdom Park in just two weeks and I can tell you we are so very much looking forward to it!

    Extra Magic Hours are for guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels and are offered on a   regular schedule. Extra Magic Hours for the 4 theme parks are offered both early morning before regular park hours and late evening after regular park hours.

    The Disney After Hours events are limited-attendee, purchased ticket events on select dates for guests to enjoy Magic Kingdom Park after hours.
